Please find below a series of videos on Mindfulness. The first two videos focus on mindfulness for children during worrying and challenging times. The next two focus on the loss that many pupils are struggling with, following the abrupt cessation of school, in particular 6th class pupil and the effect that online peer communication can have on pupils’ self-esteem. They link to the SPHE curriculum and are mediated by Suzanne Mulqueen, a primary school teacher and mindfulness facilitator and Dominic Cogan, a retired primary school teacherand mindfulness and wellness facilitator. The videos are released each week – we will post them below for your convenience.
All classes are continuing to learn using online platforms. Children from Junior Infants – 3rd class and the Haven classes are using Seesaw and children from 4th – 6th class are using Google Classroom. All children using Seesaw should have received an access code before Easter in order to join the online classroom.
If you encounter any issue with either forum, or you need assistance getting started, please do not hesitate to contact me. The school email is email@example.com. Teachers have also provided parents with their email addresses – as you may wish to contact them directly to discuss your child’s learning.
Class teachers will continue using online learning platforms this morning. If you experience any challenges accessing the learning forums, please do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
You should have also received access codes for Nessy Learning and links to websites for each class level. There are a range of additional online resources that you may also wish to access with your child. Please find links to these supports below:
