Congratulations to Kate and David on their recent achievement in the Connacht Schools Cross Country Championships held recently in Loughrea. Kate finished 7th and David finished 10th which secured Connacht medals for both of them.

Well done to all the children who participated in the South Mayo Cross Country Championships 2018 which were held in Ballinrobe recently, at which Kate Morley, David Lally and Padraic McLoughlin qualified for the County finals which were held in Ballina today.
Big congratulations to Kate and David who have now got through to the Connaught Cross Country Championship Finals.

Junior and Senior Infants took advantage of the lovely weather today and went for a walk around Knock village.
Junior Infants enjoyed learning about Minibeasts. They enjoyed a minibeast hunt around the school and collected lots of different minibeasts including snails, slugs, worms, spiders and even a frog! The children also made their own minibeasts using playdoh.
Junior Infants and The Haven class recently enjoyed their school tour to Westport. The children enjoyed the journey on the bus from Knock to Claremorris, the train from Claremorris to Westport and then the children enjoyed playtime in The Wild West. We had a great time and so much fun.
Junior Infants and The Haven class recently enjoyed a trip to Claremorris to Mc Mahon Park. The children loved this park and had a lovely walk around the lake. They also enjoyed feeding the ducks, geese and goslings. They also had the opportunity to enjoy their lunch outside in the beautiful weather we are having at the moment.
Ms. Sarsfields and Ms. Boyles classes enjoyed a trip to Mc Mahon Park where they fed the ducks and enjoyed a walk around the lake. The children then went to Claremorris Athletic Track and took part in different athletic disciplines including Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump and The Relay. Great fun was had by all:-)
We will hold a Red and Green Day, next Friday, September 16th. Children are asked to dress in red and green on the day to show their support for Mayo. As this is also National Fitness Day we have lots of fun sporting activities planned for the children and staff.
