Book Rental Scheme

For parents making book rental payments by e-payments online, please remember to also send in the book rental order form, so ensure your child is included in the scheme.

Full payment for the book rental scheme, both those made by e-payments and those made direct to the school, should be made by 24th June please and an order form for each child should also to be returned to the school by 24th June.

Report Cards


Your child will receive their end of year report card this afternoon. It will provide you with information regarding your child’s progress over the course of the past academic year. It will also contain your child’s STen score from their standardised tests in Literacy and Numeracy.

We use the Drumcondra Primary Reading Test for Literacy. This test has recently been revised in order to reflect current norms.  The new tests were piloted in early 2017, and were standardised on a national sample of pupils in early 2018.

Athletics Fest

Unfortunately our school will now be unable to take part in the Athletics Fest on Friday 14th June.  Apologies for any disappointment.  Any monies already paid for the bus will be refunded in due course.

Kenny Folliard Memorial Cup

This match will now take place on Tuesday 18th June at 11am in Aghamore.

Football Final

Our boys football team will play in the Cumman na mBunscol football county final against Gaelscoil na Cruiache in McHale Park on Monday 10th June at 2.15pm.  Transport will be provided for the team to travel from school to the match; the bus will leave McHale Park at approximately 3.40pm, to allow for trophy and medal presentations following the match, and will arrive back at school approximately 4.15pm. The cost of the bus, which is being subsidised by the school, is €5 per child please.

For parents who wish to attend the match, please note the following from the County Board:

“Sideline Rules
Parents, spectators and all observing from the side line to show encouragement to the children that are playing; to show respect to referees and officials.

Refrain from using abusive and inappropriate language
We understand that this is never intended, but accidental slips are regularly heard in the heat of the moment.  Remember, this is a completition for children, involving children.

Admission Charge
Please be aware there is an admission charge of €5 per family/€3 per adult.  Match programmes will be available on the day.”

Kenny Folliard Memorial Cup

Due to the forecasted inclement weather, the organisers of the Kenny Folliard Memorial Cup have cancelled the match due to take place tomorrow (31st May) until a later date.
