The pupils of Ms. Breen’s 5th & 6th class recently successfully completed the Junior Entrepreneur Project where they sold milkshakes and smoothies to pupils in the school. Some of the successful pupils attended the County Showcase Day in Castlebar on Thursday 23rd April last where they presented details of their project to 15 other Mayo Schools as well as the sponsors of the project, CMS Distribution. They also had an opportunity to view other projects, which were also on display on the same day. The highlight of the day was when Mayo Footballers, Andy Moran and Donal Vaughan, arrived at the event and spoke to the gathered pupils about the importance of entrepreneurship to the local community. Ms. Breen and the pupils of 5th & 6th class would like to thank all those who helped us throughout the project and, in particular, Ms. Breege Coyle, Mr. Raymond Heneghan, Mr. Brendan Salmon, Mrs. Jaki Joyce and all pupils and parents who made the project such a huge success.
