National Drawing Day takes place on Saturday 16 May 2015 in over 170 Museums, Galleries, Libraries & Cultural Centres across Ireland.
Knock Museum is participating in this year’s event by inviting well known artist, Bernie Prendergast to conduct a workshop in the museum. Bernie works predominantly in charcoals and pencil and many of her works have focused on characters in the local community bringing to life the character and personality of her subjects.
Bernie will demonstrate her artistic skill in drawing people’s faces focusing on individual features such as nose and eyes and workshop participants will then have the opportunity to try their hand at sketching under the watchful eye of Bernie who will guide and advise.
All ages are invited to attend this workshop which takes place at Knock Museum on Saturday 16 May from 3-5pm. Admission is €15 for adults and students €10. All materials will be supplied and booking is essential. Enquiries and bookings to Knock Museum: Tel. 094 93 75034 / Email: museum@knock-shrine.ie
