WEEE Recycling Event

Good Afternoon All,

I hope this email finds you well.  We wish to advise that there will be an electrical recycling day (WEEE Recycling Event) at

The West Car Park, Knock, on Thursday, 13th March 2025, from 10am – 4pm.        Householders will

have an opportunity to recycle any waste electrical items, batteries or energy saving lightbulbs for FREE.   Literally anything

household with a plug, a lead, or a battery, at the end of its useful life.   This includes both large and small household items.

Recycling e-waste is beneficial for the environment and the economy.   By recycling e-waste, it is diverted from landfill, and it

recovers raw materials for reuse.   It also ensures that hazardous materials in these items are safely and responsibly disposed of.

Your assistance in circulating and promoting this information locally is very much appreciated.

Kind regards and thanks. Mary Forde

Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Apeal – Thank You

Please see below for a thank you message from our local Team Hope Co-ordinators:

Dear Principals, Christmas Shoebox Appeal coordinators, Staff, parents, pupils and community members.

I’m delighted to tell you all that 1683 shoeboxes were sent to The Congo last week from our checking centre in Ballinrobe.

Once again, this is a fantastic number of boxes which we are assured will be given to deserving children and the delight on their faces when they open them “heartwarming”

We appreciate all of your help and especially thank parents, who in these difficult financial-times, filled boxes with fabulous items.

Donations given to us were used to buy for the 4 Ws,-Write, Wash, Wear and Wow which we added to boxes.

On behalf of Team Hope and all our helpers in Ballinrobe Checking Centre, I wish you and all your families a Holy and Peaceful Christmas and New Year.

Margaret O Neill, on behalf of Eileen Vahey, Co-ordination.

Hospice Coffee Morning

We would like to thank everyone who joined us for our coffee morning and contributed in any way with raising €505 for the Mayo Roscommon Hospice.
