Boys’ Football Team
Congratulations to the boys’ football team on their recent win in the Mini-7’s competition. The boys won our area final and will represent Knock NS in the county quarter final. Sincere thank you to Padraic Cunnane and Seán Sweeney for their work with the children.
Athletics
Children from fifth and sixth class had a fantastic time at the Athletic track in Claremorris.
We took part in hurdle racing, relay racing, high jump and the long jump.
Red and Green Day
We intend to hold a Red and Green Day on Friday 20th September. Children are encouraged to dress in the Mayo colours and be as creative as possible! We hope to collect €2 from each child. Children can also ‘Guess the Score’ for 50c per guess. We have prizes for children who guess correctly and we will use the proceeds to purchase jerseys and equipment for our school Gaelic football team.
Sports Day
We had a fantastic Sports Day before our summer holidays. Thank you to the teachers for helping to organise Sports Day and the Parents’ Association for their assistance. We thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Athletics
Fifth and sixth class attended Athletics training at Claremorris Athletics Club. Thanks to Jim and Eamonn, we really enjoyed our day.
Red and Green Day
We held a Red and Green day today to fundraise for a tunnel for our school garden. We wish the Mayo team the best of luck on Sunday and hope they return home with Sam!
Football 2012
