Congratulations to Mrs Coyne and the Green School Committee on the hugely successful visit, undertaken by Mary Forde, Mayo County Council, with regard to our green flag. Mrs Coyne and the committee have organised and undertaken considerable work in this area over the past two years. We have all enjoyed taking part.

Ms Boyle and Mrs Kelly travelled to Norway on 7th November. We met with our Comenius partners and had a very enjoyable trip. We were most impressed with the fantastic resources and facilities that the Norwegian school had at their disposal. We were amazed at how similar the scenery in Norway is to that of the west of Ireland.
Carole Reynolds, Education Officer in the Connemara National Park visited last Friday to present a workshop on Biodiversity. Her presentation was very interesting and it links to our Green School theme.
Well done to all the children involved in our Christmas Shoebox Appeal and to Mrs Coyne for organising it. We collected 75 shoeboxes. These will be delivered to children in some of the poorest parts of the world in the coming weeks.
We really enjoyed dressing up and ducking for treats!
