Reminder that tomorrow (Tues 15th) we will commemorate the centenary of 1916. The celebrations will begin (at approximately 10.30am) with the raising of the Irish National flag which was presented to the school by the Irish Army. This will be followed in the school hall by a concert of Irish music, dance and poetry. A display of the children’s projects on the 1916 rising will be displayed followed by refreshments. Everyone is welcome to attend. The children will be allowed to go home at the end of the celebrations at 12.30pm.
We ask that all children from 2nd class upwards wear their full uniform, where possible. Infants and 1st class should wear their school tracksuit. Any children that do not have a full uniform, may wear the school tracksuit.
We will be having an Easter Raffle on Wednesday (16th); tickets are 50c per strip or 3 strips for €1. All proceeds will go to Trócaire along with the proceeds from Friday’s cake sale.
