November, A time to Remember

As we were unable to celebrate our November Mass of Remembrance in the usual way this year, Fr Richard kindly blessed our Remembrance board, table and basket of remembrance leaves; he also offered up some prayers to remember our loved ones.

Thank you to Fr Richard and to Sínead Mallee for the lovely photos to mark such an important occasion.

 

Hallowe’en Fancy Dress Friday

Due to Covid 19 we are unable to hold our annual Hallowe’en Fancy Dress sponsored walk this year.  We hope to be able to hold a similar fundraiser later in the school year.

However, we will have a Hallowe’en Fancy Dress Friday on 23rd October.  All the children can dress up in their favourite Hallowe’en costume on the day.  We look forward to seeing all the fabulous outfits and creations!

Quiz Night Update

At the fundraising quiz night held in February to raise funds to buy sports equipment for the school, a total of €1,475 was raised.  To date the school has purchased a backing board for the basket ball court and had markings put down on the astro turf pitch, so far totalling €700.  We will keep you updated with further purchases made with these proceeds.

As always, we would like to thank everyone who organised, who took part in, who made donations, who helped out, who contributed in any way and who sponsored this very successful and enjoyable night.
