Creativity
Wonderful work was carried out by the pupils in the Senior Haven. Here is just a selection of some of their creativity and busy work at home.
Old newspapers and t-shirts wanted!
3rd Class are taking part in the CraftEd education arts project and they are kindly asking if anyone has any old newspapers or old childrens t-shirts for 8-10 year olds at home (that you won’t be needing back) that they leave them into Ms Sarsfield’s room in the coming days.
This programme is run over 5 weeks so lots of newspaper will be needed!

Exploring Autumn Colours
Senior Infants & First Class were very busy exploring all the beautiful colours of autumn.
Inspired by the poem ‘Duilleoga Deasa’ we used cotton buds & paint to create beautiful trees in an autumn landscape.
We also learned about how different animals, such as the native red squirrel, prepare during autumn for the coming winter season.
We then created beautiful pictures of the squirrel using a template, wax crayons, crepe paper & pva glue.
We really enjoyed shredding & sticking the crepe paper.
