We had some special visitors last week. Laura’s dad brought some new born lambs to school.

Congratulations to Ms Gorman and the children in 4th class. They recently received the wonderful news that two of their class submissions for the STEPS Project have made the final shortlist of 30 projects. The two projects are: Glowing Umbrellas and The Co-ordination Car. This is a fantastic achievement to have two selected from the one class. The winners will be announced in May.
We have been promoting and rewarding good attendance since the beginning of the new school term. Students who have good attendance each week earn a ticket for a raffle at the end of each month. Pictured are the winners of each class raffle for the month of January with their prizes. We will also be unveiling our school attendance tree shortly which will stand in the school to celebrate the good attendance of our students.
A message of thank you from the Team Hope team:
Knock National School sent 30 shoeboxes, along with some online donations.
Hi all, a very sincere thank you to everyone from your schools and communities who supported this year’s appeal. It was an amazing success. On Thursday evening last, 197 cartons containing 1769 shoeboxes were loaded onto a truck from our Checking Centre in Ballinrobe. They are now on their way to where 1769 excited children in Timisoara, Romania will enjoy their presents at Christmas. Best wishes for a Happy and Peaceful Christmas to you all and your families.
