Literacy

We collected a total of €276.95 in the Christmas Raffle held at the end of last term.  Proceeds will go towards the garden tunnel and yard markings.  Thankyou to everyone who contributed and took part.  Well done to all the lucky winners!

Welcome back to our second term!  We have a very busy term ahead, with many activities planned.  Listed below are just some of the main events coming up:

• Cycling – commences tomorrow (Weds 9^th January) and continues for the next 3 Wednesdays, for children from 2^nd to 6^th classes who wish to attend.  The cost is €9 per child for the 3 lessons.  All those who wish to take part must bring their own bike and helmet.
• Music in the Classroom – Monday 14^th January at the Royal Theatre, Castlebar
• Mid Term Break – Thurs & Fri 14^th & 15^th February
• Confirmation – Thursday 21^st February at 1pm
• First Confessions – Wednesday 6^th March at 7.30pm
• Easter Holidays – We close for the Easter holidays on Friday 22^nd March and return on Monday 8^th April.
  

 Fundraising

We will be having one major fundraising event this term.  The Board of Management have organised a showing of the highly acclaimed Tommy Marren play It’s The Real McCoy, in the Kiltimagh Townhall Theatre on Friday 8^th and Saturday 9^th February.  Tickets are €18 each and are available from Knock NS, Knock Post office, Knock Museum and Burkes.  As this will be our primary fundraiser for the 2012-2013 school year, we would appreciate if all families could support this and purchase one ticket each.  The proceeds from this event will go towards improving our school.  As always we are most thankful for your continued co-operation and support.

Tesco Tokens

We will start collecting Tesco tokens again this year very shortly.  Last year the tokens collected enabled us to purchase several hundred Euro worth of equipment for the school.  It is very worthwhile for the School to participate in this scheme, therefore we will be most grateful for all those families who shop in Tesco to collect and send in the tokens.

Parents Association Election

Thank you to everyone who took part in the recent PA election and we would like to extend our congratulations to the parents who were elected, they were:

Rachel Salmon; Joe Neylon; Nikki Murray, Julie Eduwaye, Michael Joyce and Nicola Carty.  They will join Grainne Frayne and Peter McLoughlin to form the new Parents Association.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Halloween Dress Up Day, there were some fantastic costumes, some quite scary! We collected a total of €235.42, which will go towards the purchase of a tunnel for the school garden.  Once again many thanks for your continued support.

On Friday we will be having a Halloween Dress Up day, where all the children can dress up to the theme of Halloween.  We ask that all children bring in €2 please; these proceeds will go towards the purchase of the School Garden Tunnel.

We collected a total of €234 from the recent bulb sale, which is also going towards the Garden Tunnel.  Many thanks for everyone’s continued support in all our fundraising efforts for the School.

Penktadienį mes, turintys Halloween Dress Up dieną, kai visi vaikai gali apsirengti su Helovinas tema. Mes prašome, kad visi vaikai atsineša € 2 Prašome, šios pajamos bus skirtos mokyklos Garden tunelio pirkti.

Mes surinkome iš viso 234 € iš neseniai lemputės pardavimo, kuris taip pat važiuojant link Garden tuneliu. Labai ačiū už kiekvieno tolesnės paramos visų mūsų lėšų rinkimo pastangas, kad mokykla.

Piektdien mēs, kam Halloween saģērbt dienā, kad visi bērni var pārģērbties uz tēmu Halloween. Mēs lūdzam, lai visi bērni celt € 2 Lūdzu, šie ienākumi tiks novirzīti iegādei Skolas Garden tuneli.

Mēs savākti kopā 234 € no nesenās spuldzes pārdošanas, kas ir arī dodas uz Garden tuneli. Liels paldies par ikviena nepārtrauktu atbalstu visu mūsu vākšanas centienus skolai.

W piątek będziemy o Halloween Dress Up dni, w których wszystkie dzieci mogą ubierać się z tematem Halloween. Prosimy, aby wszystkie dzieci wprowadzą w € 2 Proszę, te wpływy zostaną przeznaczone na zakup tunelu szkolnym ogrodzie.

Zebraliśmy w sumie € 234 z ostatniej sprzedaży żarówki, która będzie również w kierunku tunelu Garden. Wielkie dzięki dla wszystkich, jest ciągłe wsparcie we wszystkich naszych zbieraniu funduszy dla szkoły.

We raised a total of €219.10 from our Green & Red Day last Friday. Many thanks to all who took part and contributed. All the children looked wonderful in their Green & Red colours!

Zebraliśmy w sumie € 219,10 od naszego Green Day & Red ostatni piątek. Wielkie dzięki dla wszystkich, którzy wzięli udział i wkład. Wszystkie dzieci, wyglądało wspaniale w ich kolory zielony i czerwony!
