Dear Parents,

UTV Ireland will be in the school on Friday to film the children for a preview piece for the All Ireland Final.  It will be shown on UTV Ireland News at 5.30pm and 10pm on Friday.

If you do not wish your child to be filmed, you must let the school secretary know by 1pm tomorrow (Thursday) so that we can make the necessary accommodations for such children.

HSE PUBLIC ALERT BOIL WATER NOTICE

Please click on the link below to read this important notice regarding the boil water alert:

HSE PUBLIC ALERT BOIL WATER NOTICE

Note to all parents/guardians:  Please inform the school should your child display any of the symptoms outlined in this alert and we will inform the relevant HSE department.  Please ensure your child has enough drinks sent into school with them each day as due to this boil notice alert, the school does not have any drinking water available.

Welcome Back

We want to extend a warm welcome to the new and existing members of our school community. We would like to especially welcome all our junior infants, new entrants throughout the school, and new members of staff, namely, Mrs Gorman, Ms Nally, Mr McVann, Eamon Byrne and Noel McHugh. Our special class, for children with autism, ‘The Haven’ also opened this week. We were delighted to welcome our first pupil.

Parents will be kept informed of upcoming events and developments through our school website and our monthly e-Zine. A pupil verification form, to update all contact information, will be issued shortly.

Set Down Area/Parking

Once again, we find the need to remind parents that the set down area MUST be kept clear at all times for the safety of all children and other pedestrians. We strongly advise that the NO PARKING signs are strictly adhered at all times please.  It is an area meant only for vehicles to pull up for a minute or two whilst collecting or dropping off children.  If you will be in the set down area for more than a minute or two, then you must wait in the car park provided.  Vehicles MUST NOT be parked in the set down area; drivers must not leave their vehicle at any time.  We would be obliged if parents could relay this information to all family members, friends, childminders etc who drop off and collect children from the school.

Please also be reminded that the school lane must be kept clear at all times; this is an area for staff parking only and access to the private farm/land.

Summer Fun in the Infant Room

Ms. Sarsfield’s Junior and Senior Infants were busy during the month of June. They learnt about all the different jungle animals, the Aistear area was ‘The Vets’, and the children also made their own jungle animals using playdoh and construction materials.
